a long period of time, you have to follow the process of hearing

and chanting properly.

Q:What should a devotee do when he witnesses some fighting

amongst the leaders?

A: Better a person should remain absorbed in his devotional

service and not get involved. He should leave it up to Krsna.

Q: Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura says that it is not

recommended to associate with a devotee who has bad habits. So

what should we do when according to our service we have to deal

with such people?

A: Well, if we find that disturbing us, we should appeal to our

authorities to make some adjustment. Of course, if a devotee is

very determined and very strict, then he won`t be affected, even

(by association of such devotees is rather he can help such devo-

tees by his association. But if he is finding difficult becouse

that association then he shoud asking autority to help him so he

can improve in spritual life and kind is best kind association.)

Q: If a devotee violates a regulative principle, mentally, or in

dreams, is really considered to be a violation of a regulative

principle?

A: It is a violation of the principles, but it is not nearly so

serious as a gross violation of principles. One shouldn`t think

that, however, "O` I`m not grossly breaking the principles, so it

Krsna`s holy name. So that is why we always have to remain

engaged in devotional service, chant Hare Krsna as much as

possible, hear the instructions of the Lord in the association of

the devotees; in this way we will be protected from the influence

of maya. Srila Prabhupada said that the mind is like a forte, and

if you want to defend a forte you must have a good General. Krsna

is the best general. Therefore we should invite Krsna into the

forte of the mind and in this way maya cannot influence our

consciousness.
