if you really want to be effective in

spreading love of God, just think how much more effective we`ll be if we

distribute Srila Prabhupad`s books with love! That`s what Prabhupad wanted.

Prabhupad wants us to love Krsna. He wants us to do everything out of love to

Krsna. So, what will really make our preaching effective, is when the impetus

to preach is awakened in our heart. Because one who is actually motivated in

this way, we can become a very effective instrument for the Lord. We see how

powerful an impact such pure Vaisnavas have, changing the lives of conditioned

souls. Just as we see how powerful an impact Srila Prabhupad`s books have in

changing people`s lives. But when people`s lives are changed, they want to know

the alternative way to live. And although Srila Prabhupad`s books are filled

with love for Krsna, he expects his followers to show the way to go back to

Godhead by their love to Krsna. He expects from his followers to show by their

example, what Srila Prabhupad is teaching in his books. If one actually reads

Srila Prabhupad`s books, we will realize: there is a pretty high standard of

behaviour expected of us here. And if I want to go out and distribute these

books with enthusiasm and be really enthusiastic, and inspired, and motivated

to change the course of the world, then I have to be thinking, what`s gonna

happen when those people read these books. What are they going to see? Are they

going to see what they are reading in these books when they look at our

Society? They gonna read the books and they gonna look. What are they going to

see? We have to show them the love that Srila Prabhupad showed us! We have to

show them the compassion that Srila Prabhupad showed us! That`s what drew us to

Krsna consciousness, and, therefore, we have to show this! What is actually

going to spread Krsna consciousness and spread the preaching mission, is when

devotees are strictly following. And by strictly following, they can show by

their own example, that this is how to develop one`s love to Krsna. So, not

only distributing books will spread love of Godhead, but when we distribute

Srila Prabhupad`s books and when we preach Krsna consciousness with love!

That`s what Srila Prabhupad wanted from his followers! To kick out all other

motivations! To kick out interest of profit! To kick out interest of fame! to

kick out interest of followers! To kick out all of these things out of our

hearts, and to make our lives one with the order of the spiritual master,

manifesting these symptoms of love! THIS will actually change the course of the

world. This will have a powerful effect on others. Because when one actually

experiences that love, when one gets a little taste of that love, HE WANTS TO

RECIPROCATE. That`s there in the heart of every living entity. The desire to

love Krsna is dormant in the heart of every living entity. But when we are

actually preaching with love, selflessly... Devotee means he is prepared to

give up all selfish motivations. He is prepared to accept any inconveniences.

Even if it means suffering! He is prepared to accept that. THAT`S CONSIDERED

THE HIGHEST METHOD OF WORSHIPING KRSNA! When one actually preaches in this way,

kicking out everything else, and when one actually experiences this love, then

one will want to reciprocate. Anyone who becomes an object of this love, he

wants to do something to reciprocate. What can I do? How can I serve? That`s

there, love is dormant in the heart of everyone. But how does one really serve

a sadhu? One must know what is the heart of a sadhu. What does serving a sadhu

mean? KRSNA is within the heart of a sadhu. And the sadhu is one who always

wants to give Krsna to others. Sadhu is one who wants to reveal the

confidential topics of the Lord. Although such confidential topics are very

difficult to understand, a sadhu is one who wants to give these confidential

topics to others. That`s what Krsna sais in Bhagavad-gita: ya idam paramam

guhyam mad-bhaktesu abhidhasyati, "For one, who explains this supreme secret to

the devotees, for him devotional service is guaranteed." He doesn`t have to

make any endevour for devotional service. Anyone who reveals these secrets of

devotional service to others, then automatically devotional service is

guaranteed. So, this is the heart of a sadhu. A sadhu is one who wants to

reveal Krsna to the world. And how does one serve a sadhu? How does one

actually please a sadhu? What is it that satisfies him? "Srila Prabhupad, what

is it that pleases you the most?" We ask Srila Prabhupad this question, "What

is that pleases you the most?" "When you love Krsna." LOVE KRSNA MEANS YOU

SERVE HIM SELFLESSLY. And because a sadhu wants EVERYONE love Krsna, he wants
