thinks, "How can I serve a

sadhu? What is it that I can actually do to please him? Bring him his shoes?"

How many times can you bring him the shoes? Certainly, that`s one way to render

service. You can bring him the shoes. You can render some personal service. But

what is actually in the heart of a sadhu? What does he actually want to reveal

to the world? When Krsna`s there, in the heart of a sadhu, the sadhu wants to

give Krsna to everyone. So, what should we do to reciprocate to that sadhu who

has awakened love for Krsna in our hearts? Even a moment`s association with the

sadhu can awaken this love within our heart. How can we ever repay for it?

There we were, heading to hell, millions of births. And the sadhu changed the

course of our lives. He awakened that little desire within our hearts to serve

Krsna and love Krsna. What can we do to repay that debt? What can we possibly

do that can please him? For millions of births we cannot repay that debt!

Because even if we come back for millions of births, birth after birth, after

birth, he has awakened devotional service to Krsna in hearts! It doesn`t make

any difference! Even birth and death repeatedly in the material world Х a

devotee is prepared to accept that! Because without devotional service there is

no meaning to life! What can I do to please the sadhu?! How can I repay him?!

We have to go crazy! Our mind should go crazy!!! There`s nothing I can possibly

do to repay this debt! It`s impossible! But I have to try! I want to give this

life and I want to try to repay him! Even though it`s impossible!!! What can I

possibly do?! What does he want us to do?! He wants us to love Krsna. He wants

us to give Krsna to everyone. That`s what he wants. That`s his desire. THAT HAS

TO BE AWAKENED IN OUR HEARTS. If we want to preach Krsna consciousness, if we

want to expand this preaching, we have to preach with THIS desire in our

hearts. This desire is, "I have a debt I can never repay. Let me give this

life! Every breath of this life! Let me pray to the spiritual master and Krsna

to please give me opportunity to try. Let me preach as you preached! It`s not

possible I could ever compare with your preaching. But please, give me the

streangth. Please, give me the desire. Please, let me preach as you preached!

Because it was your preaching that saved me! And I can never repay that debt!"

That`s what will increase the preaching of Krsna Consciousness Movement.

(A devotee who had asked the question asks Guru Maharaja to grant him with pure

love to the Lord)

Guru Maharaja: Take it. Take it on your head! It`s the order. It`s been given

to us. We simply have to take the order. That`s what Lord Caitanya said. "How

many fruits can I distribute? I am asking everyone: please, take these fruits.

But don`t eat them all yourselves. If you really want to relish them,

distribute them. That`s how you relish them. Take these fruits and distribute

them. Make your life happy and successful."
